VeilAir Vault Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

VeilAir Vault is a fragrance layering intelligence platform designed to help you get more from the fragrances you already own.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following information:

• contact details such as your name and email address, used to create a unique account identity, let you access your account, verify your email, reset your password, provide account support, and help keep your personal data visible only to you
• optional profile information you choose to provide to personalise your experience, such as a preferred profile image, country or region, personal bio, and social media details. You are not required to provide this optional profile information to create an account or use VeilAir Vault’s core features. You can choose what profile information to show or hide within your own profile. For example, you may save social media links in your profile while keeping them hidden from profile display unless you choose to show them. Your profile image may appear on a Layering of the Day (LOTD) or other shareable card when you choose to create or share that card. Other profile information remains within your profile and is not shared with other users by VeilAir Vault. If you choose to share your profile screen or other content outside VeilAir Vault, you control whether to do so and who you share it with. Your profile is designed to let you personalise and showcase your fragrance collection and collector preferences, similar to a personal fragrance wardrobe.

• fragrance searches, saved combinations, favourites, reviews, disliked notes, ratings, spray points, seasons, and layering preferences
• AI-generated fragrance insights, recommendations, and explanations created through the service
• support requests, feedback, account deletion requests, and other communications you send to us
• technical logs, device information, and usage activity needed to operate, secure, and improve the service

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• provide, operate, personalise, and improve VeilAir Vault
• manage waitlist access, sign-ups, memberships, subscriptions, and launch updates
• save and display your vault, fragrance preferences, disliked notes, favourites, reviews, ratings, and layering activity for you, so VeilAir can improve your personal layering experience. These personal account details are not shared with other users
• generate fragrance insights, recommendations, layering explanations, and other AI-assisted product features
• improve VeilAir recommendations using anonymous, non-identifying fragrance and layering insights
• show in-app service alerts, including notifications when a fragrance you searched for is added to the database
• communicate with you about support, account deletion requests, password resets, email verification, security notices, or account administration. We do not use these contact details to market to you unless you have separately chosen to receive updates
• protect the security and integrity of the service
• comply with legal obligations

4. Lawful Basis

Where applicable, we process personal data because it is necessary to provide the service you request, to support our legitimate interests in operating and improving VeilAir Vault, or because you have given consent.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate VeilAir Vault, such as hosting, email, database, or support providers, only where necessary.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, manage accounts and memberships, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect the security of VeilAir Vault, and enforce our agreements.

If you request account deletion, we will delete your profile, profile image, bio, any social media details entered in your profile, vault, history, ratings, reviews, and saved items from VeilAir Vault, unless we need to retain limited information for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, payment, accounting, or service-integrity purposes.

We may retain anonymous, non-identifying fragrance and layering insights, such as ratings, confirmed layering combinations, selected layering options, seasons, dates, spray points, favourites, and written feedback. These retained insights are separated from your account and are used only to improve VeilAir recommendations and understand which fragrance combinations work well.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• request access to your personal data
• request correction or deletion of your data
• object to or restrict certain processing
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of VeilAir Vault after an update means you accept the revised policy.
